Yeah right.
Two flaws have already been exposed since its "release", and they are major.
1) The new P4-64 chips from Intel won't run it in 64 bit mode. Then again, they won't run ANY of the current 64 bit software in 64 mode until Longhorn comes out, (anyone else smelling the palm grease around here?)
2) XP64 will NOT run ANY of the current mainstream anti-virus/firewall solutions available. That means McAffee and Norton are both down the tubes.
There are maybe three programs out there that will run 64 bit under Windows. One is a game (Far Cry), and the others are video or audio development applications.
Eh, same old story. Just like XP when it was initially released, I say give it about 3 years to get all the kinks worked out, and for a better variety of capable programs to be released. I also hear along the grapevine that XP64's 32 bit mode isn't as stable as it progenitor. Go figure. Thanks for making your customers purchase another piece of beta-level software, Microsoft.
